The Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 (NSW) (“the Act”) came into effect in November 2016. 

The Act introduces the strata building bond and inspection scheme (“the Scheme”) which commenced on 1 January 2018.

The Master Builders Association of NSW is an authorised professional association under Regulation 44 of the Strata Schemes Management Regulation 2016.

As an authorised professional body, Master Builders has established a Strata Inspection Panel (SIP) and appointed qualified members of the Master Builders Associations (NSW) Consultants Group to be members of the SIP. 

Members of the SIP are appointed to carry out the building inspector functions which include performing building inspections and producing reports for the purpose of the Scheme.
