Legal Advice - Contract Q&A
Matthew Barnes, Barrister, University Chambers
Matthew will be presenting answers to questions prepared by members about specific issues relating to building contracts and legal obligations.
For example:
- Under the contract can the client change finance providers once the contract is active?
- Can the client, the designer or architect ask for you to use a particular trade, such as a joiner of their choice?
- If a bank rejects your progress claim, but you feel you have met the terms of the contract, what should you do?
To submit your questions for Matthew Barnes, please email wollongong@mbansw.asn.au before Friday, 2 September 2022
The Illawarra Division would like to use the September Division Information Night to help raise funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia’s (BCNA), Pink Tradie initiative.
During August and September, BCNA are calling on tradies across Australia to wear pink, by pulling on a Pink Tradie beanie, a pair of BCNA pink socks or make a donation to support the 20,640 Australians expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
