Description
MATES training aims to improve mental health, suicide prevention literacy and help create mentally healthy workplaces to help build stronger and more resilient workers.

WHAT IS A CONNECTOR?

  • A MATE who looks out for their workmates.
  • The go-to when someone needs to talk because things are getting tough.
  • The one that a mate goes to when their workmate isn't themselves.
  • Someone who's trained to spot the signs that someone is struggling and connect them to help.

This half-day awareness workshop equips anyone above 16 years old with or without prior experience or training, to be a suicide alert helper. MATES Connectors can be recognised by their green sticker.

The training is delivered face to face by accredited
trainers and runs for approx. 4 hours

4 CPD points will be given for participation in the training. Register through Mates in Construction.
