This project required the construction of a new 50 metre swimming pool and a “Learn to Swim” pool. Built above the pool level is the new “Great Hall”, which has a 2500 seating capacity.
The slab above the pools, which is the structural floor of the great hall, features Class 2, concrete post tensioned beams 30m long, tapering from 1.6m to 1.00m in depth.
Externally the great hall is predominately of face brickwork and sandstone, with a frameless glass main entrance façade.
Internally the great hall is clad with a series of splayed and perforated hoop pine panels with a sprung floor and a select grade Blackbutt foyer floor.
A first class, high quality school project.
