The owner of the Annandale Bali Retreat had a very limited space in which to build a pool and designed something that made the most of every available centimetre, with just enough room for the entry to the front door. The plunge spa/plunge pool fits perfectly in the front courtyard of the Annandale townhouse. The spa has been built right up to the front patio with the coping at the same level to give the illusion of one open space, and frameless glass was used between the spa and patio. The look is of a Balinese villa, hence the stone selected for the interior is Green Sukabumi, sourced from Bali. The coping is Bluestone Harkaway that changes to a deep grey colour when wet. There’s seating at one end with spa jets, but it is also deep enough to be used as a plunge pool in the warmer weather. Multi-colour lights installed in the spa and garden make it a feature at night which can be seen through the large windows at the front of the townhouse. Artesian Pools never fails to surprise and impress each year, and this winning spa is no exception.
