The iC Enterprise 1 building is the first  ‘A’ grade commercial building and is the 5th building to be constructed within an operational campus on the University of Wollongong research and business park, Innovation Campus at North Wollongong.
Whilst working on a 33 hectare site this presents significant benefits but also some severe constraints, the existing site conditions consisted of 2 to 4 metres of coal wash fill, overlaying sand and clay with rock at 15 to 17 metres below. This composition resulted in the determination ot the work sequencing and methodology.
The building structure is conventional with a very unique façade, with pre fabricated steel external stairs.
The site team have delivered a top quality commercial building   achieving a great result by their attention to detail planning and execution of all site activities and that resulted in zero lost time injuries over the 307 working days.
