The project consists of a freestanding two level apartment, carport and Alfresco area in the back yard of a terrace house in Glebe, The property had a wedge shaped yard 9 metres at the widest end near the original terrace and 2.2m at the narrowest. The only access to the site is a shared laneway and site storage facilities during construction were limited. The Judges were impressed with the home given the challengers the Builder faced. The Builder has achieved an excellent finish without compromising the essentials such as orientation, acoustics and privacy especially given the site is next to the elevated light rail serving the inner city suburbs.
