The Urbanest Darling Square student accommodation building is the first to provide a fully catered offering for its residents, while also integrating large communal and social spaces, a central landscaped courtyard, movie screen, dedicated study spaces and secure bicycle parking. Several construction difficulties proved challenging for the construction team. Extensive front-end planning with multiple stakeholders helped manage relationships and ensure open and honest communication throughout the project. The Urbanest demonstrates the power of a proactive, united project team, facing untested legislative changes, a site that adjoins the light rail corridor, challenging materials handling requirements and innovative design.  The Buildcorp team found solutions together and delivered Australia’s largest student accommodation project ahead of program and defect free.
