This Project refurbishment required that this heritage building be upgraded to meet the demands of high grade office accommodation within the Sydney CBD. This highly complex refurbishment and structural upgrade design was to create additional space by demolishing Levels 8 & 9 and constructing two new levels that blended in with adjoining building facades and met the demands of heritage edicts.
This was achieved by constructing the facade utilizing glass as a seamless front stepped back from the existing parapet. The result is high class glass facade to three levels atop of the building mirroring the landscape of the city but maintaining the heritage value of 70 King Street.
