This project, consisting of two hostel buildings and one archaeology education building, was built over historic structural footings dating back to 1795. The structure is raised above the ground to preserve and showcase these historic footings. During construction, the site was covered in a suspended plywood deck to protect these footings. 
The lightweight structure is a galvanised structural steel frame with timber joists and plywood flooring.  The hostel has 106 rooms, covers an area of 4,714 square metres and was constructed in just eleven months.
