The first stage of this project comprises a new church auditorium, café with commercial kitchen, crèche, offices and meeting rooms.
Civil works included new council retaining wall and roadway, undercover car parking for 23 cars and on-grade parking for 78 cars.
The community centre has been constructed on a site situated within the new Landcom estate Caddens Rise, which was under construction concurrently. This restricted site access and required careful management to ensure large deliveries and concrete pours were not disrupted. The building is a combination of conventional reinforced concrete, structural steel framing and exposed timber columns and roof trusses, smooth-faced blockwork, brickwork and Colorbond metal cladding.
The finished product has been constructed to a high level of quality to ensure that the building’s beauty is assured for years to come.
