Viking by Crown consists of 110 residential apartments plus 16 retail/commercial strata lots. The building has 10 occupied floor levels and has been constructed on a long triangular block of land. The shape of the land created the need for an onsite land surveyor for dimensional control of the structure and particularly for Alucabond façade.
Construction was reinforced concrete structure and the building is fully sprinklered to comply with BCA. Part of the façade has an operable sliding louvre system, which allows the individual unit occupier to open, close and slide the louvre panels so that the appearance of the building constantly changes.
The building was well constructed with accurate dimensional control and attention to detail on the triangular site. This was achieved with a whole team participation approach.
