This work entailed the demolition and replacement of approximately 2,000m2 of floor tiling in the Cathedral.  The Cathedral had to remain operational at all times for Masses and for tourists. Access, noise and dust protection were major problems to be overcome. The tiling is Imperial Granite from India. The work was completed in five months, in time for World Youth Day celebrations.
The new floor seamlessly blends in with the existing floor and is a credit to all who were involved.
