To meet the demanding scheduling of performances set by the theatre management, this intriguing & complex was completed in 9 weeks.
A detailed site audit & investigation 6 months prior to works beginning was the ultimate key in Erilyan successfully achieving the set completion date. The works involved a complete demolition of existing furnishings & floors back to existing concrete, the installation of cantilevered steel beams to bring Dress & Grand Circle seating closer to the stage, new timber floors to suit the new rake of seating, new finishes including wall & balcony joinery, paint & acoustic panelling, drop curtains & the installation of existing seats.
The innovation developed during the project was the World’s first touch of a button breathable theatre. This enabled theatre staff to control, house lighting, seat number lighting to accommodate ticket sales & curtain movement.
Erilyan worked closely with architects, consultants, theatre management to deliver an innovative project with a level of quality that has met& exceeded the stakeholders set goals.
