Mitsubishi Liverpool is set on 7000m2 of land, which was the result of seven titles being amalgamated. Farindon Constructions was awarded a design and construct contract for a new Mitsubishi showroom and a service centre that would service both Mitsubishi and Subaru vehicles.  An existing showroom was demolished and excavation carried out to provide a 100-car carpark under the main showroom and service areas. The 1200m2 service facility can service 120 vehicles a day.  The main showroom was constructed with a structural-steel superstructure, with a brief to minimise the number of mid-span columns. The result is only one column has been installed within the 900m2 showroom area, thereby responding to the client brief. External walls are a combination of pre-cast panels, glazed walling, metal cladding and Klip-Lok roofing. Access was constrained by the Hume Highway, neighbours and high-voltage powerlines. This resulted in careful planning required for key activities.  The standard of finishes throughout the building were high in all areas, ie workshop, parking area and the showroom customer areas. These areas were highly specified and well executed.  The overall impression is one of quality.
