The project involved the construction of an eight-storey commercial A-Grade office, with a two-level basement carpark and concealed rooftop plantroom. A skylight and central atrium were a key element to inter-connect the floor plates whilst flooding the building with natural light. Within this atrium are scenic glass lifts and a feature timber balustrade wrapping the void. The ground floor comprises of retail food and beverage tenancies with public domain integration required throughout the ground floor. As the first A-grade commercial office building to be constructed in Penrith’s history, the design and building quality of 50 Belmore is representative of this modern, dynamic direction. FDC successfully mitigated the challenging site conditions, and fluid market (COVID), whilst delivering an exceptionally high standard of build quality on a project that has considerable architecturally exposed structure. Considerable expertise was brought to bear by the team to efficiently integrate unique design considerations, the building is a worthy winner.
