The project was the transformation of the existing outdated library and music theatre into a state of the art facility for staff, students and visitors of Western Sydney University.
The works included major demolition, removal of services and plant and removal of existing lifts. Works were undertaken around a live communication Services data room that serviced three University Campuses. Access was limited to voids in the existing building and material handling was restricted. New works were the upper floor plant room and a new multipurpose theatre. Existing structure was modified and structural steel was fireproofed after installation. New services throughout required design development and subsequent careful co-ordination.
With severe restrictions dictated by the existing structure this project was delivered two months early with an excellent standard of detail and finish.
