The “bell”-shaped performance space is enclosed by a cavernous 11m-high Cross Laminated Timber lamella structure. The bell shape was modelled to echo the façade brick gauge consisting of 180 layers. The finished performance space with its most intricate timber ceiling is so impressive that the judges had to award it the Best Use of Timber.
