ASICS are the world’s third biggest manufacturers of sporting footwear and required a larger warehouse and office with a prominent location to suit their growing demands. The project consists of 13,000sqm warehouse with 2500sqm office which serves as ASICS head office for NSW and distribution centre. The site also comprises of a sport mini sports field named the “Field of Dreams” which is used for promoting and staff exercising.
Post completion of the earthworks, the detailed footings and early service and structural trades were undertaken to both the warehouse and the offices. The roofs to both structures and wall cladding were programmed to be completed as soon as possible to enable the service fitout to commence.
The main challenge for the project team was the evolving high quality office fitout which was only awarded 12 weeks from completion. This included themed offices promotional centres and a gym. The floors comprised of polished concrete to the ground floor reception and linking areas whilst to the first floor comprised of Olympic standard running track being laid to themed areas.
