As time was the essence on this project the builder provided a ‘one stop’ building service in designing,  constructing, commissioning  and  delivering an operational new Data Centre over 3 levels in an existing occupied Sydney CBD building in 6 months for the  cost of $14.2 million dollars.
The project programme was developed around 4 road closures of Castlereagh Street to allow installation of steel crane platform, crawler crane loading deck, three 5 tonne chillers and three 2 tonne fans through the existing penetrations in the concrete façade.
The existing building services were de commissioned whilst not impacting on the existing tenants and whole new complete services were designed and installed to run the Data Centre independently of the existing building and also providing complete stand by back up services. 
These detailed works were carried out in shifts using the out of normal business hours to perform noisy activities.
The finished product is a great achievement to the whole team in design, construction planning, quality, commissioning and delivery on time and on budget in such a short time period.
