FreeStyle Pools made the impossible possible when it transformed a steep, unusable backyard into an entertainers’ dream. With the pool 5m out of ground on one side, and 2.6m on the other, the structural design and construction of this pool was extraordinary. Structurally, the design had to change during construction as the rock shelf had a crevasse under the middle of the pool. A 60m-long 'bush track' for construction access meant all materials had to be carried in by hand, which made this build a huge achievement. The addition of a new decked area with barbecue and stairs to a future self-contained flat under the pool transformed an otherwise unusable space. The pool’s height places it in the canopy of surrounding trees, and the infinity edge and glass fencing gives the pool spectacular visual impact. The pool’s pearlescent white tiles sparkle when viewed from above and are in stark contrast to the spa’s black mosaics. Excellent work from FreeStyle Pools.
