The project consisted of two separable portions to amplify an existing aged care facility at Rooty Hill.
The first stage was to modernise the facility’s kitchen which was located in an awkward location in the basement of the building. Access, movement of materials and the work in general must have been extremely difficult, however, the finished kitchen is bright and very functional.
The second stage of the works involved the demolition of four houses and the construction of a new two-storey, 38-room aged care wing.
The finished facility is very well finished, is bright and cheery and blends seamlessly into the existing building.
