The refurbishment of the Cheers Bar in busy George Street, Sydney was undertaken in the midst of the light rail construction.  The refurbishment involved a complete demolition of the pub. The multi-staged construction programme changed following the arrival of Covid-19.   The works were well executed to a high standard under difficult conditions. A high level of skill and co-ordination has been demonstrated to achieve the final result.
