The judges were particularly impressed with the body of work that Granny Flat Solutions presented in this year’s awards, especially the rapport the company had with their clients and the quality of the work it produced in this competitive field. The project at Beecroft presented an excellent first impression and featured many inclusions not usually found in backyard granny flats. The high raked ceilings and north-facing highlight windows flood the living area with light and winter warmth. Overall, this building is a masterpiece and in the judges’ minds this project was worthy of a merit award in this very competitive section of the awards.
