Growthbuilt was engaged with the design and construction of this boutique development comprising 32 new short-term affordable living apartments in the heart of Surry Hills. The builder has delivered a high-quality affordable finish with smart design and construction solutions. On a compact, restricted-access site, near Central Station, a key challenge was to maximise and make the best use of the very small spaces available to deliver the best end-user experience and an attractive and profitable product offer for the client. The rooms were specified at a maximum 17 to 25m² requiring every minor fixture and fitting to be carefully considered. The rooms had multiple configurations along with shared living spaces on different floor levels. A hidden gem was the rooftop on level five, with chairs and spaces for relaxing as well as landscaping, which adds significantly to the attractiveness and liveability of this development.

Growthbuilt is a worthy winner, displaying a selection of serviceable aesthetic and durable finishes throughout the whole development along with energy-saving lighting controls, sensor-activated air conditioning, natural air and light penetration including operable windows, energy meters along with the keyless entry system and fast Wi-Fi on a site that had so many constraints.
