HBS Group was engaged by the City of Sydney Council to meticulously restore the fountain monument to its original state.
The complex structure required intensive surveying followed by ID markings. The scope of works entailed the dismantling & re-erection of the sandstone structure, stone preservation, stone replacement, new concrete footings & base slab, asbestos removal, new copper & leads flashings, waterproofing & water bubbler replacement.
With the erection complete, two applications of desalination poultice & low pressure washing was required to clean & restore the sandstone to its natural beauty.
A difficult project completed to an exceptionally high standard of quality finish & craftsmanship.
