Hats off to the builder in overcoming the difficulties of this project. The idea of cutting off 35 old balconies over four storeys and hanging the new balconies, steel columns and beams is not usual. One of the other problems was to keep the block watertight and liveable for the 100 residents while this work was ongoing. Different materials were used in clever ways to achieve fire rating throughout the building.
