The MLC Burwood Junior School Is a three storey concrete structure with a structural steel framed metal roof.  A glazed façade makes up the majority of the external walls and there is a glass lift shaft with a glass sided lift car.  The project features an abundance of hardwood decking and grass laid over a suspended slab.  The internal learning areas are irregular shaped and the plasterboard walls are painted in bold colours.  Construction access was very difficult, due to the location of the school in a residential area with narrow streets and adjacent overhead power lines.
This well finished project was completed in 14 months.
