The Cessnock Correctional Centre is a 250 bed addition to the existing facility set on 5.6 hectares.
The works include 3 x two storey cell blocks, education employment and recreation areas, gatehouse and reception, visitor facilities, chapel and clinic.
20,000m2 of turf was laid and 37,000 native plants installed.
The construction work and finishes are of a very high maintenance-free standard in this correctional facility.
The project was required to be 100% defects free on completion and was constructed in two years.
