SITE SAFETY FOR BUILDING THE EDUCATION REVOLUTION (BER) PROGRAM
A unique problem confronted the judges in this category with three of the entrants submitting similar projects with all providing exceptional safe workplaces and no lost time injuries. 
This entry demonstrated enhanced consultation with workers with the companies reviewing its implementation of its OHS management system. There was regular consultation with and training of workers with regards to OHS issues, with systems and process reviewed and improved. Management also participated in regular site works to demonstrate a commitment to the process. A new systematic approach lifted the bar on safety within both companies.
