The contract required the builder to provide 200 bed student accommodations for Charles Sturt University at the Thurgoona, Wagga Wagga and Bathurst campuses, a total of 600 beds.  The builder produced an innovative design to pre cast a series of concrete ‘Pods” containing the bedrooms and bathrooms.  The Pods were cast complete with door frames, hydronic heating pipework, and electrical rough in and were patched and painted in the casting yard.  After the on site ground slabs were poured, the pods were craned into position. The installation of each 40 bed facility was completed in two days. 
This innovation produced considerable time savings.
