Kane Constructions was engaged by Waverley Council to undertake a D&C Contract (GC21) to remove the existing kiosk and amenities block and to design and construct;
•    A new surf life saving club storage building and integrated Waverley Council lifeguards’ first aid room;
•    A kiosk and service building to house a new kiosk, new public amenities block, Council lunchroom/office and Council storage facilities;
•    A new external deck and associated access paths.
There was strong opposition to the relocation of the kiosk to the southern side of Tamarama Park as well as the disruption the locals would experience during construction. Kane undertook considerable consultation with all the residents who appreciated the collaborative approach and ultimately now value and enjoy the finished project.
The quality, execution and attention to detail by all trades in this project is of a very high standard and is a credit to Kane Constructions.
The end result provides the Council with modern, efficient and low maintenance buildings that have set the standard for other beach facilities whilst opening up the vista from the park to the ocean.
