At just 12.5 metres wide and only 400m2, this site was certainly a challenge to design a home for atheat also incorporated the client's wishlist. The end result was a modern, spacious, luxury home which the owner is extremely happy with. The 230m2 home makes good use of the site and performs well with the main living area & paved outdoor area both taking advantage of the Northerly aspect. From the main street frontage you are invited into the home via a timber bridge with water features either side. The welcoming outdoor area with built in barbecue area has a resort style feel that flows well from the main living area via the large sliding stacker doors. The polished concrete throughout the house creates a modern clean look that is complimented by a largely neutral colour scheme with splashes of bold colours. Raked ceilings create a spacious feel, making the rooms appear larger than they are. Clerestory louver windows in the hallway allow natural light into that area as well as allowing the hot air to escape during the summer months. High quality fixtures & fittings were used throughout the home and high end stainless steel appliances completed the stylish kitchen.
