The judges were most impressed with what they called the ‘faultless’ brickwork of this entry in the country town of Mudgee. The builder used an Austral black brick which, when combined with off-white cement mortar, produced an extremely smart appearance. The judges were also impressed with the brickwork in the window sills which they said accentuated the quality of the overall brickwork.
