This project was undertaken in five stages and completed in a twelve week period under difficult circumstances with its location facing Hunter Street and being next to the Hunter Connection Arcade and Wynyard Station entrance. 
The work entailed a new entrance including new stone floor, veneered panel walls, hanging garden and a ceiling, all finished to a very high standard. The ceiling consisted of multiple planes of oak timber floorboards which creates an impressive entry. The entry at footpath level, requiring working above and the protection of existing fire services, was reconfigured to cater for disabled access. A new entry awning of cantilevered structural steel and glass was constructed in parallel with the internal works.
The building remained fully functioning throughout the renovation and required a high level of planning and co-ordination.
