“The Terraces” at Paddington involved the re-development of an existing ‘Scottish Hospital’ site owned by the Presbyterian Church of NSW. The site was challenging in that it was located on a steep hill in one of Sydney’s most built up areas. The works consisted of taking an old residential aged care facility and replacing it with a new, 100 bed facility which included a 23 bed dementia unit. In addition 70 new, luxurious independent living units were created and the old ‘Scottish Hospital’ was adaptively converted to 9 seniors apartments. The project featured extensive landscaping and a parcel of land was generously donated back to Woollahra Council to double the size of the adjacent Dillon Street reserve. Well done to the team at Multiplex.
