This project is a new hotel complete with car parking landscaping and major drainage. Fit out included restaurant, indoor/outdoor bar, lounge, sports lounge, commercial kitchen and back of house.
Major site excavation was avoided by the contractors design input, saving time and cost. Extended wet weather was identified as a major issue and it was determined at initial planning stages that the carpark drainage and subgrade be completed early. This was a good decision as there was 6 weeks of rain during then civil works. With a new site in a new sub-division, all services had to be established and coordinated with relevant authorities. This included water electricity, gas and sewer. With early contractor involvement, the Builder as able to add significant value to the project. This project was a collaborative effort between the Builder and Consultants. Selection of alternate materials, recycled rainwater, major beer plumbing, design changes and interior finishes were handled well by all parties and the finished product is an excellent example of attention to detail and commitment to the finished product.
