The project involved the adaptive re-use/refurbishment of Level 3 of an existing hospital into a 19-bed aged care facility. The hospital staff are delighted with the outcome, which was amazingly achieved with minimal disruption to a sleep clinic on the floor above and to the operating theatres on the floors below.
St. Luke’s Private Hospital is a heritage conservation site with difficult access and the Paynter Dixon team worked closely with the hospital staff to ensure the continuity of their business. The new bedrooms, ensuites, dining room and nurses’ station are all well finished and provide a pleasant and comfortable home for the residents.
