This project had very specific design requirements in order to reflect its importance to the Aboriginal community.  The coastal location also required the use of stainless steel fixings throughout the project and aluminium roof cladding.  There is a basement car park, ground floor with entry foyer, auditorium and kitchen and two floors of classrooms, administration areas and amenities.  The project required the extensive use of Australian materials with new growth timber used in the balustrading. sun shading, wall and ceiling cladding.
The building was completed in 11 months.
