Reece came to us as a somewhat shy person, who has grown in confidence.  He has maintained an excellent work ethic and commitment to his training. Reece is an honest, trustworthy, well mannered apprentice who is able to get along with everyone. He understands and passes on instruction clearly and precisely.
He consistently shows above average knowledge and hand skills for his years. His TAFE results show how well he is learning his trade.  Reece works solidly all day every day and importantly, combines his work with Safe work practices. He has an excellent knowledge and awareness of safety, ensuring the site housework is done by checking tags on the tools and leads and cleaning the place up before he commences his work.
In what must have been an extremely hard year for Reece having lost his mother to cancer, he has shown great strength of character and maintained a commitment to his work that I would never have expected from someone in his situation and of his age.   Reece spent a lot of time last year with his family when his mother was very ill. He is a very solid family man who took his little brother under his wing and helped out with all the household duties.
Prior to his mother’s illness, he was an accomplished AFL player. He has shown a great ability to set goals to save for his first car and many tools, not content, he has now saved enough to buy his Hilux Ute.
It is without a doubt Reece has to be one of the best apprentices I have seen in 25 years in the building industry. We are proud and honoured to have Reece as our apprentice.
