This 18 metre lap pool was constructed on top of the existing pool thereby making use of the existing structure because of the sand foundations. The design was achieved by using hand drilled auger piles, which was facilitated by demolishing certain areas of the existing pool to allow these piles to socket rock which was 5metres below natural ground level. The pool has a fully formed concrete reinforced structure with an infinity edge, an adjacent overflow balance tank, a fully formed Remco cover housing. The attractive fully mosaic tiled shell is complimented Iranian Limestone Coping Pavers around the perimeter provide a seamless transition of the finishes from the pool deck to the pool itself. With 5 deck jets which are recessed into the paving popping up when engaged an exciting effect is created. The operation of all pool equipment is fully wireless and can be controlled by the owner’s mobile phone, iPad or the control panel in the house. The system also provides the owner with up-dates of the pools chlorination levels and other vital components and functions relevant to optimal operation, combined with a fully retractable Remco pool cover. These are essential features owning to the overhanging vegetation.
