St Andrew’s Primary School provided GLAs, breakout spaces, landscaping and a canteen refurbishment. A number of existing buildings were demolished to expand the playing areas. These works included expansive synthetic grass areas. Works were completed with ongoing cooperation to ensure access routes and temporary fencing to allow safe egress for students and staff and building delivery times. The building included concrete slabs and columns, steel framing and a mix of external finishes designed to match the adjacent building. Internal spaces were open and inviting, with glazed internal walls and feature bulkheads. The works were completed on time despite the late addition of the major changes in the landscaping scope of works. The building is a fine example of successful co-ordination and co-operation of all stakeholders.
