The staged project involved the construction of a new 4 storey building which includes 2 levels of basement carparks, open learning areas, staff rooms, wet area teaching classrooms & the refurbishment of existing classrooms.
Difficulties encountered involved the excavation & removal of over 10000cubic metres of general solid waste & natural materials while working within an active live school environment. The backlash from the local community created problems which affected Reitsma’s management of the site in coordinating road access for deliveries & spoil removal.
This extremely difficult project was executed with detailed quality management & practice ensuring the final product was completed with a very high standard of finish.
