When demolition and excavation commenced on this Edwardian style semi-detached cottage it became evident that the silty clay soil was unable to support the new structure, requiring underpinning and stabilisation of the shared wall.  It was also a complex task to accommodate the different ceiling heights over 5 different floor levels and the setting out and finishing are testimony to the Builder’s skill.
