Sean Coddington’s building company has traded as Coddington Constructions since 1996. His entry in this year’s awards was a large dwelling sited in a slip zone below the Whale Beach escarpment. The site required extensive rock bolting and ground stabilisation before work commenced. The architect designed entry was complicated with unusual room shapes and dramatic detail in all areas over 3 levels. Sean’s execution was carried out perfectly, satisfying both the client and architect.  The MBA judges have awarded Coddington Constructions the winner of Contract Houses $4Million & Over category. Since then, the Royal Aust Institute of Architects has awarded the architects of this project, the 2009 Wilkinson Award.  The judges believe Sean epitomises all of the qualities, necessary to qualify for this inaugural Young Builder of the Year Award.
