The refurbishment CBO5C consisted the upgrade of levels 2, 3 and 4 to include new amenities, office space ,kitchen and breakout space, student areas, detailed AV and teaching facilities, roof safety access upgrade, roof mechanical equipment replacement, and joinery throughout. Major services work included the removal of existing redundant roof mechanical units and the installation of new condenser units on the roof via a sequence of crane lifts. Works were undertaken over a short period, including the Christmas period with limited material availability. Limited construction time required pre ordering of long lead items. AV componentry and integration of all services was considered a benefit to the students and faculty.  The fitout was completed without disruption to adjacent trading tenancies, dwellings or occupied university spaces.  A high quality was finished project was achieved in limited time and space.
