This project consisted of the design & construction of a bulky goods retail centre within an existing building envelope of a 1950’s building with heritage listed elements including the steel structure, the masonry and glass façade and the roof structure. 
The former industrial building underwent extensive remediation and extension including removal of chemical storage tanks, underpinning and strengthening of the retained heritage columns. 
This adaptive reuse of a heritage listed warehouse as a bulky goods retail centre is the first project in Australia to achieve a 4 star rating in the Green Star Retail Centre Design Tool.
