The existing King’s School 1960s building was run down and not in keeping with the school’s recently refurbished boarding houses. This building was fully gutted, leaving minimal external walls in place. The five wings of the building were extended and refurbished to provide a new contemporary boarding house for 85 students, residential accommodation for house staff, indoor and outdoor student recreation areas, and breakout spaces with staff/student amenities.  The completed building, both internally and externally, demonstrates the highest quality of workmanship that has been achieved under extreme constraints and working conditions.  This project is a testament to the collaborative relationship between Stephen Edwards Construction, The King’s School and the project team.
