This Lucas Heights Technical Warehouse was completed to a very high standard on a restricted site, both in terms of available physical working space, and security controlled access.  Designs were thought through together with the client, and amended where necessary, to facilitate integration with an existing building, and to coordinate overlapping heavy lift overhead gantry cranes.  Security access for workers was extremely difficult with the entire pre-site clearance process being managed by the AFP, directly with subcontractor’s workers without reference to, or coordination by SEC.  The relationship between the Client and SEC Project Manager was excellent with the Clients representative confirming that ANSTO would be keen to deal again with SEC on future projects.
