This project was part of the NSW Government’s plans to broaden the transport framework through Sydney. It included an extension of the existing city and inner west light rail network from Lilyfield to Dulwich Hill. Nine new rail stations were developed – Leichhardt North, Hawthorne, Marion, Taverners Hill, Arlington, Lewisham, Waratah Mills, Dulwich Grove and Dulwich Hill. The new additions to Sydney’s current rail network run along the former Rozelle rail.
Structus undertook the work of all civil, road and footpath, public art on works and landscaping construction, across the nine stations. The works carried out were very varied and included:-
•    Streetscape works at entry points to new stations, improving pedestrian and vehicle access.
•    Paving works, new pathways and improved access to all stations.
•    New kiss-and-ride areas were created as well as designated car parking spots for both cars and bicycles. 
•    Disabled car parking and access ramps in and around every station.
•    New facilities including seating, handrails, fences.
•    Landscaping in and around stations. 
•    Public artwork installed and existing pieces were protected.
The project illustrates strong effective construction methodologies undertaken by Structus across a complex group of projects. Structus coordinated the new work at nine stations concurrently and each station had three to four works faces to manage both pedestrians and associated work. This meant that Structus successfully and safely managed up to 40 work faces at one time.
The nine stations presented many different issues to be resolved by the builder and has resulted in very good access, landscaping an artwork to all stations. 
Completed in seven months, this is a very well-built and finished project demonstrating excellent teamwork on the construction.
